Southwest Florida to Celebrate Launch of New Rotary Club with Charter Night at Collaboratory
A brand-new Rotary Club is making its mark in Southwest Florida, and the community is invited to be part of the celebration. On Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the SWFL Rotary Club will host its official Charter Night Celebration at the Collaboratory in Fort Myers, located at 2031 Jackson Street.
The event marks a major milestone as District 6960’s newest Rotary Club is officially chartered, uniting a dynamic mix of professionals, changemakers, and service-minded individuals from across the region. The evening will feature dinner, inspiring speakers, and entertainment as attendees celebrate the club’s mission to amplify impact and bring fresh energy to the Rotary movement in Southwest Florida.
“This club represents the next generation of Rotarians — bold, diverse, and ready to make a difference,” said one of the event organizers. “Charter Night is not just about recognizing a new club; it’s about rallying our community around service, connection, and leadership.”
All are welcome to attend the celebration. Tickets include dinner, a drink ticket, and entertainment. RSVPs can be submitted by scanning the QR code on the official flyer or by texting 415.802.5001.
The club also extended gratitude to its SWFL Rotary Community Partners, including Concord Pools, Publix, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Blend Lab Café, Cornell Bunting Inc., The Lake House Kitchen & Bar, Forever Fiore, The Force Team – Keller Williams Realty, The Heights Foundation, and Solar City.

Our Causes
Our club supports many causes, including local, national, and international. Please read below for more information on what our club, district, and Rotary International support in our mission to change the world.

Promoting Peace
Our members take action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.

Fighting Disease
Our members combat diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and polio. Prevention is important, which is why we also focus on health education and bringing people routine hearing, vision, and dental care.

Providing Clean Water
Through water sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs, Rotary’s people of action mobilize resources, form partnerships, and invest in infrastructure and training that yield long-term change.

Saving Mothers & Children
We expand access to quality care, so mothers and children everywhere can have the same opportunities for a healthy future.

Supporting Education
Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. We support education for all children and literacy for children and adults.

Growing Local Economies
Rotary members train people to become resources for their community, offering networking activities, advice on new business development, and mathematics and financial management training.

Protecting The Environment
Rotary members are tackling environmental issues the way they always have: by coming up with projects, using their connections to change policy, and planning for the future.
